A Message from the Principal
Dear Prospective Parents,
Thank you for your inquiry about Corpus Christi School. We are always pleased to share information about our school with families who are looking for the best educational option for their child. We hope, of course, that you will find that at Corpus Christi School.
We are a forward looking school with roots that reach back over 100 years, roots that were formed by a desire to serve the people of the Morningside Heights/Harlem community. And our mission today remains the same: we wish to serve the children of our community and beyond. We welcome children of all races and nationalities, all faith traditions, and all economic backgrounds. We are a diverse school community.
Our teachers also reflect the diversity that makes our school such an interesting place to learn. Representing the East and West coasts of our nation as well as countries beyond our borders, Corpus Christi faculty provide a global perspective that enriches the daily lives of our students. Well credentialed and certified, our teachers are professionals whose experience ranges from fresh to seasoned, but whose dedication and devotion to their students is evident from the moment the you will meet them.
Corpus Christi School is a service oriented school; we believe in teaching our children not only the academic skills that they need to succeed in high school and beyond, but also to appreciate the importance of sharing their time, their talents, and their treasure, whatever these may be. We believe that leadership stems from service, and we want our students to be comfortable in the role of servant--leader.
Please be sure to give me a call soon. I will be available to speak with you and to invite you to visit Corpus Christi School. Our upper grade students will give you a tour of their home away from home, and you will see our students and teachers at work. Then, together, we can determine the best way that we can serve your child.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
Sincerely, Dorothy Valla
